MORELENBAUM2/SAKAMOTO [CASA -2026 REMASTER-] is a 180-gram 2LP gatefold, complete production limited edition (produced in Japan, 2026 edition).

Ryuichi Sakamoto was a world-renowned composer, pianist, and member of the Yellow Music Orchestra whose influence spanned the synth-pop genre and numerous acclaimed film scores, from The Last Emperor and Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence to his final film score, Monster, released in 2023. He passed away on March 28, 2023, leaving countless music fans in mourning. Throughout his career, he collaborated with celebrated artists such as David Sylvian, Iggy Pop, Tony Williams, and Jaques Morelenbaum, achieving distinctive artistic milestones. He also contributed to cultural exchange between Japan and Korea, composing soundtracks for Namhansanseong (2017) and My Tyrano (2019).

This work is a 2001 release by MORELENBAUM2/SAKAMOTO, a unit formed by Ryuichi Sakamoto, cellist Jaques Morelenbaum, and his wife, singer Paula Morelenbaum. The album is dedicated to Antonio Carlos Jobim, whom the group deeply admired, and with whom the Morelenbaum couple had long collaborated. This 2026 remastered edition includes the complete original album along with two bonus tracks recorded live at Akasaka in 2001. A booklet featuring newly added photographs is also included.
