You know I'm going to cry whether I win or lose.

Sometimes—no, honestly, often—I get discouraged. Because of the versions of myself I failed to become, and because of the brilliance of the things I don't have. Just earlier, I felt a bit sad while watching reels featuring Wet Leg. I try my best every day in my own way. But time is always lurking behind my back, slamming shut the doors of possibility.

I have been reflecting on the qualities of fire and flowers. They share traits of being dazzling, intangible, and vanishing quickly. In a sense, life has no spectacular finale—only decay awaits. I often frame my struggle not to wither or fade away as "effort."

Still, isn't it wonderful that there are moments that shine brightly despite everything? Tell the future to go away. I have been running toward this moment because my entire past supports who I am today.

Everyone reaches a moment in life when they must throw a killer flaming shot. For me, that moment is now.

This album is the fiery shot I am throwing. Go ahead and try to catch it.
