Album Description: [Crack]

Our lives begin with a crack. Some cracks are problems that have already formed, while others are resistance we must create ourselves. And some things we wish would never crack, holding onto them carefully.

We constantly live by filling something in: broken relationships and hearts, shattered beliefs and dreams. But perhaps we fear cracks, yet at the same time, look forward to them? Everything shatters within a crack, and something new is born in that spot. This album hopes to be the beginning of that small crack, and ultimately, to shake something awake.

• 01_Monkey Shoulder
  “Tap-tap-tap. Carve it out. It becomes a path.”
  Stubborn. A craftsman. Clashing hundreds of times until breaking. Repetition and trial and error. Data piles up at my fingertips. Some call me a grumpy old man. I want to be a grumpy old man.
• 02_싹 (Sprout)
  “Smash! Break the rock! Wake up!”
  Like a sprout that breaks through rock and finally blooms, let us live with tenacious persistence and courage. Wake up, and ignite!
• 03_Black
  “I will go mad because I cannot have it.”
  Why do we yearn for dreams? Perhaps we are not chasing dreams, but rather dreams are constantly tempting us? The dark intentions of dreams.
• 04_Siren
  “Break the silence right now!”
  The siren sounds. Toward someone standing at the edge of danger. Toward hope. At the end, are we in danger? Did we go to save them? Or are we merely watching?
• 05_사냥 (Hunting)
  “Everything comes back. It comes back relentlessly.”
  Stories without substance. Some abandon their lives, while others live on in shattered ruin. We know how cruel and terrifying words can be. Yet, the witch hunts continue, seemingly waiting for someone to fall for them. Someday, those arrows will return to their very selves.

  “They have no existence. They are nothing but fear.”
  I hope you do not get caught up in insulting or negative words that someone says to you.
• 07 Fastball
  “Because I'll give my all.”
  Give it your all. Sometimes, there are moments when you must defend something, even if it means risking your entire being. Confront any wall that appears. Turn the fake into the real. Turn a rock into an egg. Until that wall crumbles.

  “What's in your eyes?”
  If you take on a challenge and steel your resolve, become a monster. Let's pour out everything, hotter and rougher, right now.
• 09_우리들의 로맨스 (Our Romance)
  “It leaves, takes me to that place, and stays.”
  While working on this song, I reached out to the "us" in my memories. The image of those difficult and clumsy days has, before I knew it, become a romance. Life is still full of hardships, and I am still clumsy, but I feel reassured knowing that we are here to stand by each other's side. How much further can we go together! I send this with feelings of gratitude and apology.
• 10_I'm gonna make it shine
  “I’m going to pull off something this ridiculous.”
  I have a message for the pessimists who give unsolicited advice, saying things like "it will work" or "it won't." When someone makes a decision and moves forward, let's not hold them back unless we are going to help them. And let's not let ourselves be held back, either.
• 11_안녕 (Hello)
  “I couldn't even say goodbye.”
  Goodbye, until we meet again someday.
• 12_Rescue
  “Always, in the beginning, now, and forever.”
  A prayer rewritten from the very bottom of my heart. So that when my heart has hit rock bottom, I may not be consumed by that darkness and lose myself. Grant me the strength to steel my heart again from the beginning and be born anew. Save me. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, forever.

  “It's split, there's no end to it.”
  I look into a world full of cracks. A world we must live in together. Countless gaps. Let's look at each other without hesitation. With love.
